Located in Whatcom County, Lynden is a North Washington city located about 7 miles south of the USA-Canada border. It is known for a number of things, most notably its quaint, Dutch-inspired architecture and an economic hub in the realm of agriculture. Although attracting a good amount of tourists annually, Lynden also has a tight-knit community. It hosts the Raspberry Festival every July and  and the Northwest Washington Fair in August. The city is also surrounded by farmland and orchards on all sides.
